This website, my "official homepage", is the base from which I link to other of websites.
Twitter is my social media home - follow me on Twitter and I will share with you the best articles I've read online.
Social Media StrategyMost of what I share online goes through Twitter. Most content and links are shared through Timely, which automatically posts contents throughout the day. For live interactions, such as @ replies, I use Hootsuite and the Twitter website. If I want to comment and talk at length about an article, I will share it through Posterous. The great thing about Posterous is that my posts can be auto-posted to Enoch Ko's Blog, Facebook, Flickr, Tumblr, Twitter and Vimeo.
On Facebook, I only "like" and comment on posts and post private messages. I seldom write wall posts because I use Twitter for public broadcasts, which is automatically cross-posted to my Facebook and LinkedIn profiles. By the way, I will only add someone on Facebook if I have interacted with the person before - virtually or in person. If you send a friend request without a message and I don't recall meeting or interacting with you before, I will ignore the request. That said, my barrier is very low - if you include a personal message saying why you want to add me, I will probably add you. I have added a some value investors because they said they liked my translation of an article about Charlie Munger. My thinking evolves and changes over time - which may take months or year - but it will be difficult looking through years of materials and purging posts that are no longer relevant. To make things easier, I purge posts that are older than 2-4 weeks on all social media platforms every month or two. So if you like something that I have shared, I recommend saving it in your own system because it won't be there forever - I use Evernote to store my web clippings.
Information Consumption StrategyI am selective about who I follow on Twitter - they must post interesting things or I will unfollow them. Some people, like the Mythbusters, get a free pass because I love their show. By the way, I "star" or favourite tweets when I don't have time to read the links (especially useful when I'm reading tweets on my Android). You cannot rely on looking at my Twitter favourites to determine what I like to read. Look only at what I post - if I like it, it will show up there.
Google+ is where I drink from the fire hoses of Guy Kawasaki and Robert Scoble and get my technology news from other technology geeks and early adopters of Google+.
I read my LinkedIn feed to see about my connections. If there is anything I can help with, I will message them. If you want to connect with me on LinkedIn, be sure to write a personalised message. I have joined several LinkedIn groups and browse through daily or weekly digests to see whether there are any interesting discussions worth paying attention to.
Facebook posts are usually screened through quickly because there are seldom interesting items to read or link through. I now visit Facebook far less frequently after the recent changes to the user interface.
Active Profiles and Websites
Passive Profiles and WebsitesInactive Profiles and WebsitesThere are typically "holding pages" - profiles that I have created to claim ownership of my name but have no real interest in using. There are a few where I had previously been active but have since abandoned for other platforms or the lack of time/interest.
